Born on June 4th, 1971, in Switzerland, I took my first photograph at the age of 12 in the mountains with a simple pocket camera. I didn’t know it then, but that moment shaped everything that followed.

In 1987, I set off on my first solo adventure — canoeing through Canada. That journey sparked a lifelong passion for outdoor photography and documenting every expedition, every landscape, every encounter. Since then, I’ve explored South America, Canada, the United States, Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Islands.

From scuba diving to trekking, volcano climbing to desert crossings, skiing to long journeys by bus, train, and boat — from yachting and transatlantic crossings to flying — exploration has always been at the heart of my life.

The outdoors has never just been a hobby — it’s been a calling. At 17, I was already flying planes. After studying Geography, I began my career in the IT industry before leaving it behind to travel the world as a PADI scuba diving instructor. Following my STCW95 certification, I briefly transitioned into the yachting industry.

​

Returning to Switzerland, I joined the United Nations to work on an underwater 3D mapping project. Later, with a growing family, I moved into the real estate industry in the Swiss Alps — a profession that allows me to remain immersed in mountain environments, constantly wandering through resorts with a camera in hand.

​

I continue to travel as much as possible, capturing moments, landscapes, and stories wherever I go. Photography, for me, is not just about images — it’s about documenting life as it unfolds.
